No, this picture was not taken at the trailer park, it was taken in our bedroom... Yes, we have become extremely ghetto in the last 3 days. For the first time in my ENTIRE life I don't even care!! With the tempuratures soaring well above what is normal for this time of year our apartment was unbearably hot. We shopped around to find an air conditioner but couldn't find anything cheaper than $400 that wouldn't have to be placed in a window. So we went to Costco and bought this little unit and then Nate rigged it with bungee cords, duct tape, foamy insulation, and vinyl sheets. It looks absolutely ridiculous, but instead of our room being 86 degrees like the rest of the house, we are "chilling out" at a nice 72!! The only thing I have to say is be thankful for central air if you've got it, because I totally took it for granted when I had it!

I don't blame you one bit. I am all about a cool house and I would stoop to Ghetto-ness to achieve it too. It does look pretty special in your window but if you are sleeping better at night, I applaud you!
