Up and Running!

I am trying my hand at being creative, and entreprenurial. I have started beading interchangeable watchbands and binky chains. I have been working on the new blog all day, and it is finally complete enough to share.

Busy, Busy, Busy

The last week and a half have been very busy for Hudson, and the rest of the Houston family...

Hudson's cousins from New Mexico visiting, and waiting for their baby brother to be born. He loved having them around. They are active little boys and kept him very entertained.

Baby Cameron was born and came home on the 10th. Hudson and I were both sick and had to keep our distance. We did take some baby cousin pictures the night before Cameron had to go back to New Mexico. Hudson was fascinated with Cameron, and so concerned when he cried.

Once the Jones' went home Hudson found some time to chillax with his daddy
This passed Saturday Nate, Hudson and I went to Zion with the Randolph-Sengs. It was a beautiful day when we were in Springdale, but when we got into Zion it was FREEZING!!! There was snow on the entire hike we went on.

Chad, Steph, Baby Owen, Nate, and Hudson enjoying the Temple of Sinagwa in Zion.

Hudson and I went to lunch with Kami and Jax, and they introduced Hudson to Bananas. He is in love and makes a beautiful little mess while eating them. They end up in his hair, his eyebrows and eyelashes, and all over his clothes.

Today my Mom and Grandma came down for a quick visit. We went to lunch at Olive Garden. When we got there Hudson was asleep...

...but he woke up while we were eating, so I asked the waiter to bring him some celery, which he loves!

Announcing Cameron William Jones

After 3 long weeks of anxiously waiting, Tami and Jason (Nate's sister and her husband for those of you who don't know) finally welcomed the latest addition to their family on Friday, January 8th at 9:49 pm. Cameron is a beautiful baby boy, weighing in at 8 lbs 1 oz and measuring 19 1/2 inches long. He has a headful of jet black hair, and I think he looks just like his big brother, Kyle.

Happy 5 Months Hudson!!!

Yesterday my baby turned 5 months old. His Great Grandma Twitchell and Grandma Ivie came to St. George to celebrate with us. He of course was oblivious to the reason for their visit, but he is always happy to see them. We spent the day making invitations for Cami's baby shower and shopping. We also went to Cafe Rio for Hudson's birthday lunch... He slept through the whole thing.

His birthday night wasn't as much fun. He started getting really fussy and didn't sleep for more than 10 or 15 minutes all night and was running a fever. I took him to the doctor this morning and he has a really bad ear infection. So we got him on some antibiotics. His fever is still pretty high, but he's sleeping better thanks to the Tylenol... I feel so bad for him. He give us these sad little smiles that break my heart.

No pictures to post this time, but looking back at old pictures made me realize how much Hudson has changed. He was born with really dark hair, it is almost blonde now. His eyes were very dark blue, almost black at birth, now they are bright blue with little flecks of green. He has always looked just like Nate, but recently on rare occassions I've seen little glimpses of me. He is still the same sweet baby he's always been, that hasn't changed a bit. Happy 5 Months, baby boy, WE LOVE YOU!!

Still trying to figure it out...

Ok, so I just posted all of these pictures trying to cover the last 2 months. I tried to get them all in chronological order, and I obviously didn't do a good job. But I suppose all of my fellow bloggers are smart enough to kinda figure things out. Just looking at these older pictures makes me realize how fast Hudson is growing up and changing. Friday he will be 5 months old. WOW! Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Lots and lots to go over!

Trying cereal, not loving cereal...
New Year's Eve at Rusty's Steakhouse

Hudson with Auntie Lori

In my family we always got a small gift from "Mr. New Year" when we woke up New Year's Day, so I'm attempting to continue the tradition, but Nate's not really buying into it. I tend to do whatever I want though so Hudson got a Gloworm from Mr. New Year. He loves it. It's face lights up and it sings 5 or 6 lullabies.

Last night Chad and Brittany came down to go to the temple. After they were done we went to Olive Garden for dinner, then to Costco and the mall to do some shopping and returning. It was good to see them and spend some time with them.

On Saturday my Aunt Lori invited us to her house for dinner and games. Ross made some delicious fajitas, Cami made a yummy chocolate cake, and we played a fun game called "Smart Ass." As you can see here the boys are glued to the TV... UFC fight night.

Hudson got to spend 2 weeks at his Grandma Twitchell/Grandma Ivie's house. They love having him around.

The day after Christmas we went to Cedar City to see Marley and Me. Right before the movie started Nate was holding Hudson. Nate said, "He just sharted, I'm going to go change his diaper before the movie starts." 10 or 15 minutes went by and they hadn't come back so I texted Nate to make sure everything was ok. Just then they came back in and Hudson was naked except for this beanie, socks, and a diaper. Apparently there was a massive explosion... So when we got home I had to take some pictures of him in the beanie.

Hudson has discovered faces. He loves to pull on hair, ears, lips, noses, and glasses. He also loves the way Sadie feels, he is constantly reaching for her, trying to pull her hair, and just get her attention so she'll lick his fingers.

I spent most of Christmas Day taking pictures of EVERYTHING with my new camera. Somehow most of those pictures were of Hudson though.

Obviously he played too hard!! I found him sound asleep in his "car" Christmas Night.

New Camera = Lots of Pictures

This year for Christmas my parents gave Nate and I a new camera. It is a really nice one and we are so excited! I am finally able to pull pictures from the last 3 months off of the memory card and share a few. There are 405 to choose from, I'll do my best to make it short.
